For the experienced Captain Winkler, the flight from the South of France is just another routine flight, despite the annoying presence of Niclas Sedlazcek, his young and arrogant co-pilot. While the atmosphere in the cockpit is chilly, the passengers of the charter flight happily board the plane. In the flight’s earliest phase, a small incident sets the stage for disaster. During take-off, a small cargo plane rams the aircraft. There is only one problem, and it’s a big one: the avionics – the electronics that control the aircraft – have been disabled by the collision. There, he sees that McCullough's car has been mysteriously restored, and senses a familiar presence in the driver's seat: McCullough is back, and he's determined to settle the score. When Sawyer becomes the prime suspect in a gruesome series of murders, he realizes he's not the only one in danger; his ex-girlfriend and her daughter have somehow ended up on McCullough's "to kill" list as well, and if Sawyer fails to save them, the highways will soon run red with blood.

Synopsis:
